Perfect Skin Solutions For Non-Catergorised Skin

My skin unfortunately doesn't fit under a category its not all dry but some places are really bad, its not all oily but some places are, its not combination because products under that category break me out. I have had to search, trial and waste so much money to find a perfect cleansing and cleaning routine to get my skin nice, healthy and majority blemish free. I suddenly thought to myself I can't be the only one with non-categorised skin so I though I'd share products that work well for me. (unfortunately I cant guarantee they will work for everyone but its just some ideas).

All of the products I used are from well known brands and are super easy to get hold of, none of them cost horrendous amounts of money but sometimes if you know its going to work its worth spending the pennies. I don't use all of these products each and every day, I often alternate between these products to stop my routine becoming boring, or my skin becoming to used to the products and them not working as well.
Before I brought any of these products full size I tried out 2-3 sample sizes first to make sure I liked the products. Clarins often does free samples with purchases and so does Clinique. I would definitely recommend doing it this way so you can trial the products before you pay full price.

D A Y T I M E  R O U T I N E:

In the morning i'm often in a rush and don't want anything a) to time consuming and b) to heavy on my skin. I've tested and trailed through many of a daytime product and i've made sure that after these steps my make up sits perfectly on my skin.

Clarins Instant Eye Make-Up £17.00
For years I used makeup wipes and couldn't work out why my face was always sore and stinging after removing makeup. Then some miracle happened and I tried out liquid make up removers. I've found some are to harsh and drying where others are too oily and grease up my face. However the clarins instant eye makeup removed is a bi-phase lotion when shaken mixes an oil with a blue coloured liquid. You pour onto a cotton pad hold over your eye for a few seconds and even waterproof mascara comes instantly off. The texture is a little oily but its really refreshing on the skin and doesn't hurt your eyes. I use this day and night to remove any bits of makeup that is stubborn.

Clarins Gentle Refiner Exfoliating Cream £25.00 (every two days)
I use this exfoliator every two days, Often to remove any fake tan or dry patches. Depending on how tough your skin is you could use it everyday but I don't like to be to harsh on my rather delicate face. The beads are a nice size and you face feels smoother after use. Clarins instruct you to massage it into the skin rather than rub and this really helps create a plumper skin and is a lot less abrasive.

Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel £19.50
This is my skin saviour. The three step formula starts off a gel, then once rubbed in becomes and smooth oil, and once water is applied a refreshing milk consistence. This product has been raved about in the blogger community and it is so worth the hype. I use this every day to cleans and refresh my skin. It is the perfect last step to what face cream and make up is applied.
I also use this at night time when I'm washing my hair. I wash my hair about every 3 days so I lather on the cleansing gel and really let it soak in before I wash it off in the shower, this way it doesn't matter if it gets in your hair line. I really feel the benefits of this and my skin is glowing and radiant.

N I G H T T I M E  R O U T I N E :

At night time I tend to use products that need a bit of resting time after woods. I have a lot longer to cleanse my skin and really make and effort to remove any damage or dirt from the day.

Clinique Liquid Facial Soap (Extra Mild) £15.00 (200ml)
I use this every other night alternating between this and the Clarins cleansing milk. This really helps wash off any face make up and dirt from the day. It adds a tightening to the skin and real clean feeling. I do a few pumps in the balm of my hand and lather onto my face, focusing on my T-zone and the outer of my cheeks.

Clinique Clarifying Lotion 1 £25.00 (400ml)
After drying off my face I apply a fair amount onto a cotton pad and rub all over my face, focusing on my blemish prone areas (my chin, forehead and apples of my cheeks). This just removes any bits of make up left and really clears your pores and helps remove black heads. The only downside is it can leave your skin feeling a bit dry so I always finish with either a Clinique step 3 moisturiser or the Clarins Daily energizer cream-gel (REVIEW HERE).

Clarins Cleansing Milk £18.00 (purchased in a set with Clarins Toning Lotion for £20)

The milk helps clear out your pours much like the Clinique clarifying lotion but also helps hydrate your skin. It removes any make up left over and leaves such a fresh and smooth feeling to your skin.

Clarins Toning Lotion With Camomile £18.00 (purchased in a set with Clarins cleansing milk for £20)
Once i've dried my face I add this. The toning lotion removes any cleanser thats left on your skin and smooths and softens. It is also a alcohol free toner which I prefer to use, its designed for dry to normal skin so is gentle and not to harsh.

T W I C E  A  W E E K :

These products are quite strong for my kind of skin so I only use them twice a week often on a sunday and mid week.

Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask £21.50
This Antipodes mask is great for a mix of skin types. I apply a thick layer and let it set for 15 minutes. There is no harm leaving it on any longer but it doesn't really do anything more after this time. It is a nice mask because its not to tight on the skin that you cant move your mouth. I use this to bring out any toxins in my skins and clear out my pours. It can bring spots the surface what is a little annoying but it helps get rid of them a lot quicker. I also do the mask mid week because if i'm going out at the weekend I know the spots would of come up to the surface and gone away by the time friday/ saturday comes.
After using this mask my face is so soft and really healthy looking.

Clarins Daily Energizer Cleansing Gel £12.00
I only use this product twice a week not because its strong but sometimes using too many products isn't great for you skin. This product is really good because it clears spots and creates a glow to your skin that shines through make up to create a real healthy look. It also works as a pair with my face cream.

I hope this helps someone with mis-matching skin like mine. Trying to keep it healthy and hydrated without breaking out into a face full of blemishes.

Let me know what you use or if you like any of these products.
