Whistles, Topshop & Urban Outfitters Haul (Video)

First of all if your looking at this through the bloglovin' app the video doesn't come up so if you would like to see the video, my Youtube is: katherineballs94

Square Spot Blouse - Whistles
Alice Slim Boyfriend Jeans- whistles
Bitches Photo Frame- Urban Outfitters
Nutella Recipe Book - Urban Outfitters

Anyhoo I've been very naughty and have been spending again. However this must be if for this month otherwise I am going to be in big trouble. However with paris approaching in two weeks I highly doubt I will able to resist a cheeky trip to Sephora. I thought this time I would do the haul in a video instead of just a blog post.

Jo Malone, Bumble and Bumle, Whistles and Zara Home Haul (Part Two)

Shopping, because what use is a credit card in your coffin?

Zara Home : Blue Door Cushion  // Astrology Cushion
Jo Malone : Pomegranate Nior Bath Oil
Bumble and Bumble : Seaweed Shampoo // Creme De Coco Conditioner
Whistles: Calf Hair Loafers (Sale not available online, in store only)

This is part two of my haul if you haven't checked out Part One Here

I know beauty experts are going to kill me for this but I didn't get matching shampoo and conditioner, I want two different treatments from my hair washing routine. I need scalp nourishment from my shampoo to help with my eczema and I need shine and frizz control from my conditioner. After being brought several bumble and bumble styling sprays and serums it felt only natural to venture into the shampoos. I will report later if they make any difference compared to my usual redken treatments.
Jo Malone well why the hell not? There is nothing I love more after a stressful day, than having a bath. I don't think just pumping some body wash to create bubbles really relaxes me so I fancied a extremely luxurious purchase.

These shoes however where not a planned purchase we had a return of these to work in the navy blue I tried them on about 10 times hoping they were somehow going to fit but being 4 sizes to big that was never going to happen. I met my sister in law (easier to say that rather than an family tree outline) to pick up my beauty bits and she dangerously sent me down a side road to head back to oxford circus and there happened to be a whistles calling my name... One thing led to another and I was typing my pin and sending over £45 (even the sales assistant said they were a bargain).

Lastly these Zara home purchases took a lifetime to arrive but they were shipped from Milan so I can't complain to much. After moving in last April I sort of decorated the flat quickly and never added soft furnishings, before you know it you just get used to how things look. However our bedroom is a very cream and plain room and not that cosy so I wanted to add some colour and texture through these cushions. James doesn't get cushions he thinks if you can't lay on them and if you have to remove them before bed and put them back on in the morning, then they aren't for filling there cushion destiny. I firmly disagree...

Hope today is treating you kind, lots of love Kate xx

TOPSHOP, & OTHER STORIES, ZARA HAUL (PART ONE)

(excuse Jeffry he's just a camera whore)

So as promised here is my haul (part one). This year I am on a majorly strict buying budget. Jim and myself are hoping to tie the knot either this winter or next summer so I need to stop wasting money on a whim. I have this habit of a soon as pay day hits I blow it in the first week and end up buying things I wasn't 100% sure on. From now (Including these new bits) I Really think about what I buy and what it will pair nicely with in my wardrobe, this is my new moto. This is bag was a soul uni purchase as I was sick of recking my mulberry. This bag has more compartments than Mary Poppins so I can fit literally everything I need. I have done some blog posts with these items so I will leave some links bellow, other items will be styled soon I am sure. I have tried to pick some pieces that pair with most things, adding some pattern to my rather plain wardrobe. I have learnt not to buy anything to bold but use accessories to jazz up an outfit. I love this fedora hat I'm just a little scared the wind with blow it off in the street. Also is it acceptable to wear a hat on the underground? My uni friend and I were trying to figure out if a hat indoors is ok? otherwise your be stuck with hat hair... The part two of this haul is home and beauty bits so look out for that.

Birthday Treats From Me to Me: featuring Estée Lauder, MAC and LauraMercier

It's my birthday on Sunday and I've made up a tradition when I buy a few treats for myself. Why work hard if you can't treat oneself now and again ay?

All Purchased Via House Of Fraser
MAC 12  Lashes £10
Estée Lauder Pure Color Vivid Shine Lipstick in Pink Voltage £19.50
Estée Lauder Illuminating Perfecting Primer 30ml £21.50
Laura Mercier Creme Brûlée Sugar Scrub £36

MAC 12 Lashes:
As it is my birthday on Sunday I'm going out for a meal on Saturday night after work and wanted to feel dressy and a little different to normal. The 12 lashes are nice and full and wing out at the side what I love for a cat eye style. I do like MAC lashes but I'm sure there are better ones I could buy but I just don't know enough about them, so any recommendations would be great.

Estée Lauder Pure Color Vivid Shine Lipstick in Pink Voltage
I'm always on the hunt for the perfect pink. Not to bold yet not to nude and this Lippy has taken me a step closer. I've really fallen back in love with Estée Lauder after buying their 5 tone highlighter/blusher. The formula is a nice cream with a lasting finish but ill review properly after I've used it a good few times.

Estée Lauder illuminating perfecting primer
SHOCK HORROR... I've never purchased a face primer. I know it's shocking but what better way than to start with a primer that has received so many good reviews. I've decided to start with this Estée Lauder primer then if I like it I will test their foundation. I'll keep you updated with how I get on and I'll do a full review.

Laura Mercier Creme Brûlée Sugar Scrub
I've had my eye in this body scrub for yonks. It has taken a while for me to accept the very expensive price tag. However a hard working gal deserves a birthday treat and I have been ever so good with saving money for our flat decor. I haven't tried this product yet but judging by the scent it's going to be amazing.

My Pay Day Purchases

My Pay Day Purchases

I've been a little naughty today as my cards are meant to be sealed away until I move house, but I was feeling a bit sad today and when i'm sad, I shop.
These Dainty Doll blushers were £1.99 each, I couldn't believe it. I purchased them through fragrance direct and they seem to have loads of things cheap. I think that they're past season items and thats why there a low price. With them being so cheap I had to buy 3 different ones it would of been a crime not to. Dainty Doll takes me back years when I watched the documentary on Nicola Roberts and the rest of the Girls Aloud band. I purchased a bronzer and blusher set all those years ago and it's how I first discovered ASOS so I kind of owe it to her to buy some of her make-up.

The Topshop jumper is something I've had my eye on for quite a while, its a fluffy style knit so i'm hoping my washing machine doesn't get all clogged up, but I know its going to look lovely.  Mint green is my new favourite colour and I just couldn't say no to this vest top, the same goes for the nail polish. The lemon yellow is going to look so nice this spring come summer.

I am a SUCKER  for sales and I have to find something to buy if its cheap, so I knew this year I wasn't going to be any different. I became a girl with a plan and decided I would only either a) Buy a whole outfit or b) buy something that I knew would go with clothes already in my wardrobe.
This even if I do say so myself was the best plan i've ever had. I feel all the things I have brought are not your typical sale waste (and i've brought some BAD sale items cough*GOLD SEQUIN HOODIE*cough) every clothing item is something i've been looking at for a while as i've walked past shops or on the internet.

I love Topshop clothing, but over this past year I feel the price of items has crept up and up. Things in this shop are becoming not over priced but perhaps more than there student based target market can afford. However if the sale is rocking then i'll come a knocking! I literally scanned through there sale page after page to find the bits and bobs that I wanted! I am really pleased with my purchases and feel like what I have payed is what the items are really worth.

Working for ZARA sometimes can be a heartbreak, long hours, contiunally on your feet all day and having to deal with some what rude customers. But the quick trips up to the stock room where I have no choice but to marauder through womens wear, makes the job worth it. I am surrounded by clothing that I adore and what better than to have staff discount to purchase these clothes. All the stuff I brought in the sale is items of clothing i've been pearing at for ages but the agonising wait for payday ended up being in my favour as everything I wanted went into the sale!

I have wanted a Mulberry handbag for years now, and with all my overtime of this december I finally have been able to afford one. It arrived today (reason why this post is a lil over due than I first planned). I don't have much to say accept it's perfect, I love it, and I will use it everyday. I was tempted to buy a plain black, but was swayed by my love of things different and went for the ink blue, if your spending this kind of money on a bag, why should it blend with everyone else?

I have purchased a few more bit and bobs, so will do a smaller part 2 post soon. Lastly my apologies for my lack of consistent blogging, whilst all of you have been enjoying the sales and the shops being a full time sales assistant at ZARA has taken all of my time over the christmas, I've barely had enough time to sleep let alone blog! However now the christmas rush has past I'll be back to my normal hours and be able to blog blog blog away...I hope you all had a lovely christmas and got some good sale buys!
