The Weekend Post (Two)

Necklace - Rokit Vintage
Mulberry side bag (originally mother bears)
Coat - Whistles
Pink Jumper - Topshop

After Jim and Myself joining national trust, we only need to visit a few house and gardens to make our money back. After a hectic week of a&e and sleepless nights we finally found out whats wrong with me and out of the possible diagnosis this one was such a relief. I can now begin to get better. Yesterday we visited Polesden Lacey it was an amazing party house its the early 1900's so you can imagine how beautiful it was inside. Most of the time we go for the gardens, its so nice to have a bit of fresh air and a chance to chat about silly things, chase each other and just relax a little. Unfortunately James was still working today but I was nice to just have a few hours together. After serval Latte's and chocolate brownies were staying in for a home cooked dinner and trashy telly.

TOPSHOP, & OTHER STORIES, ZARA HAUL (PART ONE)

(excuse Jeffry he's just a camera whore)

So as promised here is my haul (part one). This year I am on a majorly strict buying budget. Jim and myself are hoping to tie the knot either this winter or next summer so I need to stop wasting money on a whim. I have this habit of a soon as pay day hits I blow it in the first week and end up buying things I wasn't 100% sure on. From now (Including these new bits) I Really think about what I buy and what it will pair nicely with in my wardrobe, this is my new moto. This is bag was a soul uni purchase as I was sick of recking my mulberry. This bag has more compartments than Mary Poppins so I can fit literally everything I need. I have done some blog posts with these items so I will leave some links bellow, other items will be styled soon I am sure. I have tried to pick some pieces that pair with most things, adding some pattern to my rather plain wardrobe. I have learnt not to buy anything to bold but use accessories to jazz up an outfit. I love this fedora hat I'm just a little scared the wind with blow it off in the street. Also is it acceptable to wear a hat on the underground? My uni friend and I were trying to figure out if a hat indoors is ok? otherwise your be stuck with hat hair... The part two of this haul is home and beauty bits so look out for that.

My Everyday Make Up (January 2014)

Face Base: Estee Lauder Illuminating primer / Estee Lauder Double wear light / Nars immaculate complection consealer / Tom Ford blusher in 02 / Benefit Hoola Bronzer / Mac Mineralise skin finish / Chanel Highlighting powder
Eyes: My travel Mac Pallet - Woodwinked / Nars liquid liner / Loreal telescopic mascara / Clinique bottom lash mascara / Hourglass arch brow pen
Lips: Revelon lip butter - shortcake

This is my 'go to' make up look. I've got it mastered so I can go from scary to semi decent in 10 to 15minutes depending if my eyeliner plays up or not. It is the kind of make up that is work appropriate but if you suddenly decide your going out for drinks after all you need is to add a bold lipstick and your ready to go. This primer and foundation pair are my god send I don't know what I would do if they discontinued these products. Sometimes I mix up the eye shadow but mostly I reach for a soft brown in the crease. The Chanel highlighting powder sets the make up beautifully and I add a little of the Mac skin finish for a bit of shine in the right areas.

What Book I am reading today? 'It would be wrong to steal my sister's boyfriend (wouldn't it?)' by Sophie Ranald
What I am listening to today? 1975 and The strokes - 'Is This It' album

So today was my first day back at uni, after what seems a very short break (it has been whole month). Whenever I have to return back to reality I always think, I should of rested more, I should of slept more. However sods law when I am on the breaks all I want to do is fun and active things. I still feel incredibly ill but it was so nice to get dressed for a reason other than work and be back in the rush hour buzz. Thanks to my wonderful fiancĂ© I had my new iPod to keep me sane at 7:09am this morning whilst a business women snored next to me, all the way to Clapham Junction. I am off to nap now and force a chicken and mayo sandwich down, Wish me luck...
