The Weekend Post (Two)

Necklace - Rokit Vintage
Mulberry side bag (originally mother bears)
Coat - Whistles
Pink Jumper - Topshop

After Jim and Myself joining national trust, we only need to visit a few house and gardens to make our money back. After a hectic week of a&e and sleepless nights we finally found out whats wrong with me and out of the possible diagnosis this one was such a relief. I can now begin to get better. Yesterday we visited Polesden Lacey it was an amazing party house its the early 1900's so you can imagine how beautiful it was inside. Most of the time we go for the gardens, its so nice to have a bit of fresh air and a chance to chat about silly things, chase each other and just relax a little. Unfortunately James was still working today but I was nice to just have a few hours together. After serval Latte's and chocolate brownies were staying in for a home cooked dinner and trashy telly.

Lots of Love Kate xo

Weekend Post One: Ham House

Coat - Whistles (sold out everywhere online)
Skort- Zara
Shoes - Nike Blazer
Scarf- Zara

Most weekends James and Myself like to take little trips out, with being so crazy busy with christmas festivities we woke up Saturday morning realising we have nothing planned for just us two alone. As old couple-ish as it sounds we love walking around gardens and old English buildings learning about the history of places (hence the engagement at leeds castle). We googled what National Trust places were close to us and Ham House popped up. They have an amazing veggie soup and cute gardens to ponder around in. As sad as this sounds we actually ended getting a National Trust Membership. We go that often that it works out so much cheeper to be a member and also means we can afford more tea and cake when we get there.

Hope you had a lovely weekend.
Lots of Love xo

A place to eat the OXO TOWER...

So this doesn't really fit into my typical 'student budget' niche, but it is defiantly somewhere to snack for a special occasion. I went last saturday for my big brothers 21st birthday.
I've been very fortunate to of eaten in several very nice places for various special occasions, but the OXO TOWER really stands up with the top.
The atmosphere was lovely and relaxed, you were aware it was a nice restaurant but you didn't feel unwelcome or that it was far to posh to relax, as soon as you walked in it had Harvey Nichols written all over it with the sweet and minimal art, and the beautiful cherry trees in the entrance
The beautiful glass windows surrounding the restaurant over looks the whole of london, giving you something to look at and a nice conversation starter.
& onto the food... my goodness it was so lovely although it was the typical posh little food it tasted fantastic, and there were lots of little presentation tricks i've seen in master chef!
The puddings were to die for and they do a set lunch menu so you don't have to be shocked when the bill arrives!
As soon as you walked in it had Harvey Nichols written all over it with the sweet and minimal art, and the beautiful cherry trees in the entrance
I just thought i'd give a good recommendation and with valentines coming up sometime you need a few ideas of how to make and evening a little bit more special.

Do you have any special occasion restaurants to recommend?
